Kapil Sharma: I Have Not Adopted Sunil Grover That I Should Work With Him In Films
Stand-up comedian Kapil Sharma was in Delhi to promote his upcoming film Firangi and goes without saying, he had to deal with a volley of questions about Sunil Grover
Kapil Sharma is
busy promoting his upcoming film Firangi and today, the stand-up comedian was
in Delhi where he was supposed to meet the media. Kapil was aware of the fact
that the conversation would veer towards Sunil Grover and thus, he spelled out
a disclaimer to the press right at the beginning and said, “Ask whatever you
want to – negative, positive, happy or sad.”
Since the press got a green signal from Kapil himself a media person quizzed is he would want to work with Sunil Grover again to which he said, “Of course, he is a talented actor.”
But when questioned if he would get him in films too, Kapil jovially said, “Maine kya usse godh liya hua hai? (Have I adopted him?)”
He even went on
to make a strong statement during the press meet. He said, “I was
once asked if my equation post the fight with Sunil Grover will
affect the film and I asked that person, ‘Have you ever fought with your
friend? He said yes, and I questioned then why are you asking me this?’ In
fact, I would say don’t watch my film if you haven’t fought with your friend.
If you have, you have the answer to your question.”
The stand-up comedian was further asked if controversies ruffled him to which he said, “Tell me even one actor who hasn’t faced controversies? Maine kaunsa crime kia hai joh log nafrat karenge? (What crime have I committed that people would hate me?) See, when people love someone and something like this (the mid-air spat between him and Sunil) happens, the criticism is also of the same level.”
